Top 300 Movies of All Time: #247 " The Invisible Man " (1933)
Few directors were as adept at making enduring horror or suspense films, but James Whale stands the test of time. The director of "Frankenstein" and "Bride of Frankenstein" cannot be overlooked for "The Invisible Man".
Based on an H.G. Wells story, "The Invisible Man" stars Claude Rains in a star making vehicle as the title character. His invention drives him mad with predictable results. His love interest is Gloria Stuart, yes that same woman who starred as the elderly "Rose" in "Titanic".
This would be Rain's first talking picture after having made only one silent film and having otherwise been on the stage. Not to be missed.
