TOP 300 MOVIES OF ALL TIME: #235 " DIRTY HARRY " (1971)
What is there to say about "Dirty Harry"? It speaks for itself. Filmed at a time when crime was foremost in the minds of Americans everywhere, "Dirty Harry" was a cinematic placebo that was cheered coast to coast. No matter how successful a director afterwards or fine in spaghetti westerns prior to this, Clint Eastwood is first and foremost the title character of this great and iconic motion picture. In "Million Dollar Baby", when Hillary Swank's brother gets in Clint's face at the hospital we must be honest and admit that I we wanted him to reach into his jacket, pull out the 357 magnum and blow the punks head "clean off".
